Long Moral story -  Unity is strength

Once upon a time, in the dense forests of Vanagiri, a rogue elephant was troubling all. He was going mad with his great power.

In the same forest a bird couple had its nest. The hen-bird had laid four cute eggs. Sitting on her eggs she dreamt of the little chicks.

One day, the rogue elephant came that way trumpeting, uprooting trees and crushing plants. It broke the branch on which the birds had their nest. The nest was flung away and the eggs got tossed off.

The elephant stepped on the fallen eggs. The birds cried. What else could they do? The hen-bird wept bitterly after the cruel elephant marched on. Just then a hen-woodpecker came there. The hen birds were good friends. The hen woodpecker was shocked at hearing the tragic story of her friends.

She said, “Weeping will do no good. We must take revenge on that evil elephant.”
The bird sighed, What can we tiny creatures do to that mighty elephant?”
The woodpecker advised, “we tiny creatures can unite our powers to make it a big force.”

“How?”  The bird asked.
The woodpecker said, “I have a black bee friend.  We must go to him.”
They met the black bee and told him the story. The black bee said, “I have a wise frog friend. We must seek his help.”

Now,  the all three went to that wise frog. The frog  listened to their tale. The misdeed of the elephant pained the frog who said, “It needs deep thinking.  Wait for me here.” The frog jumped into the water after saying that.

He came up after some time with shining eyes and croaked, “Friends, I have thought of a plan to destroy that rogue elephant. Everyone of us plays part in it.”
The frog told the others his plan.
They all jumped in joy because the plan was brilliant. The frog asked everyone to remember one’s role carefully.

Only a few days after this, that rogue elephant was standing satisfied with heavy meal of tender trees after causing a lot of destruction. It was the right chance to put the plan in action.

The first task, was that of the black bee. It flew to the elephant’s ears and started creating a sweet humming tune. The elephant closed his eyes in pleasure and began swaying.

Then came the woodpecker flying in. She pricked the eyes of the elephant with her needle sharp beak. The eyes burst making the elephant blind.

He ran around the blindly crying in pain.
As the time went on, his pain increased. The blinded jumbo stumbled and crashed into trees. The injuries added to his pain. He was crying helplessly.

The birds said to the frog, “Brother, we will always be grateful to you. You helped us teach the cruel elephant a lesson.”
The frog waved his hand, “No need for that. The friends must help friends who are in trouble. It is our duty.

Now watch me do my part.”
The burning pain in the eyes and crying had made the elephant thirsty. Now he wanted water badly.

The frog collected many of his tribe and asked them to croak sitting on the edge of a nearby big trench. The frogs began croaking loudly. Their croaks reached the ears of the elephant who was going crazy for water. The elephant knew that the frogs live near sources of water. The elephant ran in that direction hoping for water. As the elephant drew nearer the croaking became louder. He ran faster. The frogs let out full throated croaks. The elephant took further step eagerly and fell into the deep trench with a big thud. The death came to the elephant in no time. Thus, an arrogant rogue elephant was killed.

Moral of the story :-  Small forces pooled together become a mighty power. The unity is the real power.
